Hiya!

My name is Lauren, but you can call me Mama Thomp if you dig that. I live in the woods of Eastern Maryland with my husband, Josh, and our two daughters, Hadley & Nora. We're expecting our third baby, a little boy, this January.

I've been eating for my whole life so I have a lot of experience there.

Actually, when I was a child I was the pickiest eater. Like we're talking I cycled through 3 foods for several years. Poptarts, mac n' cheese with corn and ranch on American cheese slices. Let me explain that last one... I refused to eat lettuce so my mother would give me just ranch with Kraft American cheese in a bowl for my "salad". Yup. Somehow I am still alive and functioning today.

I once sat at my dining table in a heated stand off with my father over pork chops. He tried to tell me it was ham steak, a meat I would actually eat because it was covered in brown sugar, but I knew what he was up to.

Thankfully, I outgrew all that and found a deep appreciation for alllllll the grub.

While I thoroughly enjoy stuffing food down my own pie-hole, I have an even deeper love for feeding others. I must get it from my Italian grandmother.

So that's what I'm gonna do! Feed you! At least, cyber-ly? You get the picture.

What else can you expect?

Other than hopefully making you want to lick your screen, I'll be sharing projects I'm working on around our house and garden, tidbits from our family and personal journals when the mood strikes or I need a general space to rant. This is the internet, after all.

If you want to join my newsletter (to the left, to the left, just type your email in that box to the left), I'll be using that space to share personal stories, videos and all-around silliness. I'll include some freebies as well, so be on the lookout!

Thanks for visiting my little space on this world wide web. I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you who reads, comments, tries my recipes, sends me photos of your food and shares your own experiences here with others.

Toodles, friends!
