So comforting to eat, so easy to make. Perfectly simple in all it's buttered glory.
Well, this is just a step up from your average, every day grilled cheese. And it is so freakin' yummy.
The real MVP here? Honey. It is so magnificient on a grilled cheese, don't you dare try to skip it!!!!!

Tomato, Basil & Honey Grilled Cheese
Make as many as you want, sweet kitten
Unsalted butter, soft
Fontina cheese, sliced
Mozzarella cheese, sliced
Fresh basil leaves
Fresh cracked black pepper
- Cover the outsides of two slices of sourdough with unsalted butter. On the inside, spread a generous amount of honey. Add basil leaves, slices of fontina, mozzarella and tomato. Add black pepper to the tomato.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the sandwich, butter side down, and cover with lid. Cook 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip (like a ninja!), cover and cook an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melty and the bread is golden.
- Slice. Serve. Devour. Make 18 more.
